06: Personal Equity Plans (PEPs)
PEPs were introduced in 1987 to encourage equity investment and were replaced by ISAs from 6 April 1999.
From 6 April 2008, all PEPs became stocks and shares ISAs, although this did not automatically mean providers merged the two types of plan.
