06: Corporate governance

There have been a series of reports and recommendations regarding the conduct of directors over recent years, culminating in the publication of the Higgs Review and Smith Report in January 2003. The obligations on directors’ respect of corporate governance and financial disclosure have increased significantly in recent years and further enhancements to governance codes are to be expected.

We keep abreast of these changing requirements and can advise you on the current views of best practice from bodies such as the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and the Financial Reporting Council.
