Accountants and tax advisers to get instant news from HMRC
Accountants and tax advisers are to benefit from better access to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), thanks to instant news alerts.A specialised instant news alert service, which is designed to give the accountants and tax advisers up-to-the minute updates on any developments or announcements from HMRC, has just been launched by the tax body.
Automatic updates will be given to the agents through a Really Simple Syndication (RSS) service feed, which is available on free subscription.
Brian Redford, HMRC Head of Agent and Employers Improvement Programme, said: "This is a free and simple way to keep up to date with what is going on in HMRC. It's easy to subscribe."
He also urged the agents to make good use of the body's dedicated web pages, which have been revamped.
Agents can visit the HMRC website to get the free subscription, which comes in the wake of a similar dedicated telephone service announced earlier to grant the agents instant access to the body.
