We are often looking for new people to join our growing teams in Canterbury and Maidstone, although clearly, during the present economic climate, recruitment is currently limited. Semi-senior / senior position

For someone who is ambitious and wishes to gain experience in all elements of accounts and taxation.
The ideal candidate will:

  • Be ATT qualified or part qualified accountant
  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a professional accountancy firm
  • Be able to work under own initiative
  • Have the necessary skills in MS Excel, IRIS or Digita products, and accounting packages such as Sage, Quickbook, and Mamut etc

The successful applicant will need to be confident, articulate, quick to learn and able to work in a team. They can expect a broad role with increasing direct client contact. They will follow jobs through from accounts preparation to audit and corporate tax as appropriate, and they will, when ready, also be encouraged to take on a small client portfolio.

Clients range from sole proprietors and partnerships, limited liability companies and charities, with turnovers up to £10m

Accounts junior / semi-senior

For someone who is ambitious and wishes to gain experience in all elements of accounts preparation, audit and elements of tax.
The ideal candidate will:

  • Have started / looking to start study courses towards qualifying
  • Have a minimum of 1 years experience working in a professional accountancy firm
  • Be able to prepare records to ‘trail balance’ stage
  • Be able to work under own initiative
  • Have the basic skills in MS Excel, IRIS or Digita products, and some accounting packages

Salary negotiable and study support available for the right candidate.


Bookkeeping and Payroll

For someone who is ambitious and wishes to expand their experience in payroll operation and management, and develop their skills in maintaining company accounting records and elements of accounts preparation.
The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 1 years senior experience working in payroll
  • Be familiar with one or more payroll systems
  • Need comprehensive knowledge on payroll issues such as SSP and SMP etc
  • Have some experience of bookkeeping, manual and software packages
  • Be able to prepare records to ‘trail balance’ stage
  • Be able to work under own initiative
  • Have the basic skills in MS Excel
