The introduction of automatic enrolment into workplace pensions will change the face of the UK workplace, according to the Department of Work and Pension (DWP).
That is according to the Minister for Pensions Iain Duncan Smith, who spoke at the launch of a multi-million pound campaign aimed at encouraging workers to save more for retirement. This new initiative will see the campaign launched across the national print press from today (23 January) with radio, print, online and outdoor advertising also planned for use.
These new adverts will look to explain the fundamentals of the pension savings reforms and also provide signposts for those wishing to use the Directgov website. These advertising schemes will run in waves until the launch of the automatic enrolment into workplace pensions in October.
"Automatic enrolment will transform this country, putting an end to the decline in pension saving, and setting millions on course for a more prosperous retirement," Mr Duncan Smith said.
