Business and Enterprise Minister Mark Prisk has pledged that 2012 will see a renewed focus on helping entrepreneurs unlock their business potential, as he unveiled a new comprehensive calendar of enterprise events aimed at those individuals looking to build their own business in the coming 12 months.
Entitled the StartUp2012: Enterprise Calendar, the new interactive tool highlights over 600 enterprise opportunities across the UK this year. Featuring conferences, competitions, workshops and networking events, the new calendar has been set up to kick-start the development of UK business ventures.
The StartUp initiative was set up as part of the new Business in You campaign unveiled by David Cameron earlier this week in a bid to encourage the development of new businesses. Mr Prisk described the calendar as an opportunity for entrepreneurs to "unlock their business potential. "We need to make sure people know that there is support and advice available, that it is easy to get, and it is often on their doorstep."
